Where the Journey Begins:

Felix begins his adventure in the film industry in the summer of 2003. One day Margarita and myself dicover a casting call on the internet. She decides to mail my headshot in, and a few days later, we receive an email stating I received a role. After receiving the message, we decide to attend several  auditions without any experience. I attend my first audition, and a week later I receive a message stating I received a role in the movie. I continue to auditon for other roles in Austin, Houston and San Antonio, Texas. Audition after audition, I continue to get different roles in different films. Today, I'm proud to say, I have been in several feature films that are currently in video stores around the world.

Writing screenplays: having been around the independent films for several years, I decide to take a step further, so I decide to write my first screenplay, After writing my first screenplay, ideas come storming into my head, and now to this day, I continue writing screenplays: Action, Drama, Comedy, Suspense Thrillers and more. Today as you read this, I strive to film my first "Feature Suspense Thriller Film" that will grab your attention.

Serching For a Name:

After spending days searching for the proper name, one day I discover Arcana in the dictionary, which means: Secret, Mysterious, and Knowledge. Finding the name interesting and a correlation to my feelings, I decide to name my independent film business Arcana Films, and that is where Arcana Films is born, and the new journey begins. We as independent filmmakers in Arcana Films will strive to bring you extremely interesting films in the future. Films that will send postitive messages, films that will grab your internal emotions and externalize them, and films that you will be able to enjoy with your family.

While pursuing my acting career, I meet and assist Jordi Molla (Credits include: Blow, The Alamo, Bad Boys Two) in a self-documentary.  While on the production sets I learn the aspects of producing feature films. I am now attending Del Mar College and pursuing a degree in business. I dedicate my time to writing, acting, and working on producing my first feature film.   

 

Director of photography/Editor

Margarita cannot remember a time when the moving image did not interest her. She begins her venture in video photography at the early age of thirteen. Her first production is a short production of Trumpet of the Swan with her younger brother and his friends. Other productions include special events in the family such as family gatherings, and birthday parties.  Now, she helps with and attends many of the shoots Felix participates in and sees the work involving film production. She has also been producing and filming several shorts; productions include Vampire Dreams, which she writes, directs, films and edits. Another film by Margarita is Skeptic Dream, which she co-writes with Vanessa, her niece.  These are just a few.  Margarita is also a student at Del Mar College pursuing her degree in business and continues with her film work. She is working in conjunction with Felix to produce their first feature film.
